Legal document drafting is exactly what it sounds like: You provide the details, I draft court-ready documents that reflect what you’ve agreed to. I’ll explain what things mean and flag anything that looks incomplete—but I won’t tell you what to decide. What this covers: Uncontested family law documents and a limited range of estate planning documents, specifically advance directives and powers of attorney. If you need a will, a trust, or a full estate plan, I’m not your person for that; I’ll tell you upfront and refer you out.
Before anything gets drafted: Every drafting engagement starts with a Legal Bearings Consultation ($300, 60 minutes). This isn’t a hoop; it’s how I confirm the scope of what you need, make sure you have the right service, and catch anything that might complicate the process before we’re into it. If the consultation reveals you need more than drafting, I’d rather tell you that now.
