Navigate & Thrive Coaching Services

You’ve decided to handle your own family law case. Smart move if you’re organized, willing to do the work, and want to keep more money in your pocket instead of handing it to attorneys.

But here’s the thing: self-representation doesn’t mean you’re on your own with Google and a prayer. It means you’re the one driving—and coaching gives you the map, the directions, and someone to tell you when you’re about to miss your exit.

Already have an attorney? Coaching is also for people who need supplemental support, want a second opinion on their case strategy, or have questions their attorney isn’t fully addressing. Your attorney handles the legal process—coaching helps you understand your options and think strategically about what’s actually best for your situation.

What this is: Strategic legal guidance for people handling their own divorce, custody, modifications, or family law matter. I’ll help you understand your options, complete court forms correctly, and avoid expensive mistakes—but you’re doing the actual work.

What this isn’t: Hand-holding, therapy, or me doing your homework for you. If you need someone to file your paperwork, show up to court for you, or chase you down to get things done, you need full representation, not coaching.

Who this is for: Responsible adults who show up prepared, follow instructions, and take ownership of their outcomes. If you’re looking for someone to do the heavy lifting while you disappear, keep scrolling.

As-Needed Legal Coaching

Legal Bearings Session - $135

A focused 30-minute session to help you get your bearings in the family law system. This is information, not advice—think of it as a roadmap showing what the terrain looks like, not turn-by-turn directions for your specific trip.

  • Overview of typical family law processes and procedures
  • General information about legal options available in situations like yours
  • Explanation of common outcomes and how the system usually works
  • Information about helpful resources and next steps
  1. Schedule and pay online—I’ll run a conflict check to make sure I can work with you*
  2. Complete the intake questionnaire
  3. Show up on time and ready to take notes

* All sessions are confidential. If a conflict of interest exists, you’ll be notified and refunded.

This is a high-level overview, not personalized legal advice. I’ll explain how the system works, what your options typically are, and what you need to know to move forward. If you need specific strategic guidance for your situation, book a True North Session instead.

  • Find a quiet, private spot for the call
  • Have your questions ready
  • Bring any documents you want context on
  • Take notes—I won’t repeat myself in a follow-up email

This session provides general information, not personalized legal advice. If you need specific strategic guidance for your situation, book a True North Session instead.

True North Session - $275

A comprehensive 60-minute session where we dig into your specific situation and figure out your best path forward. This is strategic legal advice tailored to your case—not just general information.

  • Discussion of your specific family law questions and circumstances
  • Strategic assessment of your options and what makes sense for your situation
  • Overview of relevant legal principles and how they apply to you
  • Guidance on next steps and potential pitfalls to avoid
  1. Schedule and pay online—I’ll run a conflict check to make sure I can work with you*
  2. Complete the intake questionnaire
  3. Show up on time, prepared, and ready to work

* All sessions are confidential. If a conflict of interest exists, you’ll be notified and refunded.

First 30 Minutes

We’ll talk through your situation, clarify your questions, and make sure I understand what you’re dealing with.

Second 30 Minutes

I’ll give you strategic guidance on your options, explain what’s realistic, flag potential problems, and help you figure out your next steps.

This is real advice, not hand-holding. I’ll tell you what I think you should do and why—but you’re still the one making the decisions and doing the work.

  • Find a quiet, private spot for the call
  • Have your questions ready
  • Bring any relevant documents
  • Take notes—you’re responsible for remembering what we discuss
  •

This session gives you strategic direction, but it’s not a full case analysis. If you want ongoing support as you handle your case, you can schedule additional coaching sessions as needed. For those who decide they’d rather have someone else handle it, I can help you figure out what full representation looks like.

Still not sure if coaching is right for you?

How the Engagement Works

When you book your first session, you’ll sign a single engagement agreement that covers all your as-needed coaching sessions and add-on services. Simple.

Here’s the boundary: If 60 days go by without a session or any work on your matter, the engagement closes. This isn’t personal—it’s how I keep my practice manageable and avoid zombie clients who disappear for months and then expect me to remember every detail of their case.

Want to work together again after a 60-day gap? No problem. Schedule a new session so I can confirm coaching still makes sense for where you’re at, and we’ll open a fresh engagement agreement.

Add-On Services

Court Forms Guidance - $550

You need to file court forms but don’t want to screw them up. I’ll help you figure out which forms you need, walk you through how to complete them, and review your work before you file.

What You Get:

    • 30-minute call to identify the right forms and explain how to complete them
    • Written checklist of required forms and supporting documents
    • Review of your completed forms
    • 30-minute follow-up call to discuss corrections or questions
    • Filing procedure information
    • 5-business-day turnaround for form review

What this isn’t: I’m not filling out the forms for you or filing them on your behalf. You’re doing the work—I’m making sure you do it right.

Document Review - $550

You received a legal document and need to understand what it says, what it means, and what you need to do about it. I’ll review it and give you a written breakdown in plain English.

    • Breakdown of key terms, requirements, and deadlines
    • Written summary flagging anything you need to pay attention to or act on

What this isn’t: I’m not rewriting it, negotiating it, or filing a response for you. I’m telling you what it says and what it means. What you do with that information is up to you.
